Blood Flow in Multi-Sinusoidal Curved Passages with Biomimetic Rheology: An Application of Blood Pumping

چکیده
The unsteady flow of biological liquid through non-uniform pumps under porosity impacts is considered. Jeffrey fluid used as blood in the current study, which also characterized viscoelastic because its dual characteristics: on one hand, viscosity nature; other elastic effect. Rheological equations are framed a curvilinear coordinates system, and influences simulated with body force term momentum equations. system has been transformed from fixed to wave frame using linear–mathematical transformation between these two frames. In next mathematical steps, given non-dimensional form physical variables. PDE reduced an ODE lubrication theory long wavelength approximation. Solutions ordinary differential obtained numerically MATLAB software via BVP4C scheme. involved parameters features, such curvature, (Darcy’s number), non-uniformity, parameters, have visualized graphically. Multi-sinusoidal waves boundary wall curved pump for peristaltic pumping. magnitude velocity profile saw-tooth (trapezoidal wave) larger (smaller) than all natures waves. intensity Darcy’s number dynamic role reduction pumping, whereas opposite behavior noticed when increasing nature channel. A comparison multi-sinusoidal addressed. results present research shall be very productive manufacture drug delivery bio-medical systems.

A number of techniques allow imaging of the cerebral blood flow (CBF). Flow-sensitive time-of –flight (TOF) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) demonstrates good representation of the flow but the extracranial hemodynamics could be assessed by color duplex ultrasound of the carotid arteries. Computerized tomography (CT), Xenon enhanced or CT perfusion with iodinated contrast, singlephoton emission...

1. Blood rheology has been quantified by measuring blood and plasma viscosity, packed cell volume (PCV), erythrocyte filterability and erythrocyte aggregation in forty-eight voluntary vegetarians and compared with matched controls. 2. Results show that in vegetarians, values for PCV were lower than those in controls, leading to reduced native blood viscosity. In addition PCV-standardized blood ...

Objective: Key hemorheological variables are associated with several life-threatening diseases including cardio-cerebro-vascular diseases. A diet can influence the blood rheological variables. To compare the effectiveness of a vegetable soup on blood viscosity (BV), hematocrit (Hct), plasma fibrinogen, lipid profile, fasting blood sugar (FBS), and blood osmolarity in patients with polycythemia ...
متن کاملThe Rheology of Blood Flow in a Branched Arterial System.
Blood flow rheology is a complex phenomenon. Presently there is no universally agreed upon model to represent the viscous property of blood. However, under the general classification of non-Newtonian models that simulate blood behavior to different degrees of accuracy, there are many variants. The power law, Casson and Carreau models are popular non-Newtonian models and affect hemodynamics quan...
